The first repatriation flight to Rodrigues is scheduled for this Friday, October 8. According to the authorities three flights are scheduled, the other two have not yet been fixed.
About sixty Rodriguans will be repatriated during this first flight.
And for Cliff Félicité, the government and the Regional Assembly of Rodrigues have given in because, according to him, it is thanks to the legal action taken by the PMSD, which has even issued a formal notice in this sense.
In a press conference on Thursday, October 7 in the office of the Leader of the Opposition, Cliff Félicité stressed that this is a great victory for Mauritius and Rodrigues.
He thanked Xavier Dual for his support. The latter, according to Cliff Félicité, has followed the case closely and has even allowed the Rodriguans stranded in Mauritius to benefit from the services of the PMSD lawyers free of charge.
Cliff Félicité took the opportunity to blame the members of the majority of the regional committee of Rodrigues for what he describes as inaction.
It should be noted that the Rodriguans who will be repatriated must spend 7 days in quarantine in Rodrigues. The place has not been specified. They must also be vaccinated with two doses and they have already carried out a PCR test.
For the moment, about 200 Rodriguans are concerned by this repatriation.
