Yesterday, the road claimed another more lives. Two persons were killed and two more were injured after a car went off the Mapou motorway and smashed into a tree on Sunday afternoon. The vehicle struck the guardrail that divided the two lanes of the motorway, impaling the vehicle through the glass and out the back window.
They are the two victims. 29-year-old Mathieu Russie and his 5-year-old stepson, who is the kid of his lover, live in Pamplemousses. In the car with Mathieu were his kid and partner. To the hospital they were hurried. With only minor scratches, Mathieu’s son was allowed to leave the hospital. His girlfriend was brought in for medical attention.
