Passionate about 3D animation, Shivam has been working on this film for two years. Two years editing the film in the studio he set up at his home in Chamouny.
The Dodo Island is the story of Ralph, a valiant little dodo who sets out to save his island from Dutch invaders: “Our dodo is often described as a silly, lazy bird. But science has proven the opposite. It’s precisely to restore the image of this emblematic animal that I decided to make this film, for which I have written the script in Mauritian Creole. As far as the story is concerned, Ralph presents himself as the defender of his island by fighting against the Dutch invaders,” explains this mechanical engineer.
To find out how it all ends, however, we’ll have to wait until December 2024: “I intend to complete the film by 2024. That’s a bit long in the sense that 3D production requires a great deal of rigor. I’m planning to show the film in December 2024.
