A burglary took place in 8e Mile, Triolet at the home of a supervisor of a plastics factory in the capital. Thieves opened a door at the back of his house and stole several items of gold jewelry and a sum of Rs 1,500. During the robbery, the declarant and his wife were absent.
It was on the afternoon of Tuesday October 31st that this resident of 8e Mile, Triolet went to the local police station to report the break-in. He explained that between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 31, there had been a theft from his home. The thieves forced open a back door to gain access to the interior.
They got away with two chains, four rings, two pairs of earrings, a necklace commonly called “mangalsutre”, two pairs of bracelets called “kangan”, a silver wrist chain and a sum of Rs 1,500 in various denominations.
This 39-year-old man was living in this house with his wife and mother. They were all absent from the house during this robbery. His yard is fenced with a concrete wall, but is not equipped with surveillance cameras.
