Are we following the trend on the sister island? On Reunion Island, the curfew ends this Monday, October 4th at 11 pm after 7 consecutive weeks and the authorities remove the obligation to wear a mask in the spaces subject to the sanitary pass and receiving the public in the exterior. The closed spaces, on the other hand, will continue to impose the mask but not for less than 11 years. As for Mauritius, the Attorney General announced on Friday 01, that there will be a relaxation in the regulations for the wearing of masks for certain activities. This regulation is part of the Consolidated Regulations presented to the press at the meeting of the National Communications Committee. This relaxation will soon be published in the Government’s Gazette by the Department of Health. Until then, the masks must be kept securely in place or risk imprisonment for a period not exceeding 5 years or a fine of Rs 500,000.
