The discussion within the alliance PTr-MMM-PMSD seems to be up and down with regards to the distribution of tickets. The meeting initially scheduled on Friday between Navin Ramgoolam, Paul Bérenger and Xavier-Luc Duval was cancelled.
On Friday morning Xavier-Luc Duval, leader of the PMSD, met his son Adrien and Mahmad Khodabaccus, the Secretary General at his office in Newton Tower. This meeting took place before the meeting between Adrien Duval and Dr Navin Ramgoolam at rue SSR, Plaine Verte in the afternoon. Adrien Duval has expressed his views on the fact that the PMSD will obtain only 8 tickets for next elections. However, Adrien Duval maintains that the discussion between the leaders of the three parties continues.
Yesterday, Xavier-Luc Duval, leader of the PMSD, and Patrick Belcourt, leader of En Avant Moris, met at Ébène. The meeting took place at the request of Xavier-Luc Duval. Patrick Belcourt said to the press that they did not discussed alliance.
Navin Ramgoolam also met with some Labour MPs of Port-Louis this Friday.
In this tumultuous period of alliances between the Labor Party and the PMSD, the presence of MPs Khushal Lobine and Richard Duval alongside Labor Party leader Dr Navin Ramgoolam at Notre-Dame on Friday evening brought some new elements in this saga.
