Jérémie Lararaudeuse could not beat Judex Lefou’s national record (electronic time) in the 110m hurdles, but had to settle for the national record (manual time) for the distance.
The fault of the photo-finish system which did not work during the 110m hurdles final of the national athletics championships this Saturday 04 September at the Maryse Justin stadium in Réduit.
The hurdler was however able to settle for the manual record of the distance in the time of 13.5 secs. The old record was held by Judex Lefou since 14 June 1991 in 13.8 secs.
“It’s a pity that the photo finish didn’t work. I am certainly disappointed but I am happy to finish my season by reaching the goal I set for 2021. This suggests a very good start to the 2022 season,” said Jérémie Lararaudeuse.
Judex Lefou’s 110m hurdles national record (electronic time) is 13.91 secs (26.06.1992) while Jérémie Lararaudeuse’s best time is 14.02 secs.
