A most daring robbery was perpetrated at the home of a 59 year old pharmacy technician and resident of the village of Arsenal, during the day of Wednesday May 4th. The perpetrator of this theft took a large amount of jewelry, a sum of Rs 10,000 and groceries. The owner has not yet estimated the amount of the stolen goods.
In a statement made at the Terre-Rouge police station on the evening of Wednesday, May 4, the pharmacy technician explained that this burglary was committed between 7:10 am on the morning of the same day and 3:50 pm in the afternoon. The offender gained access to the interior of his home by opening an aluminum door with a break-in while all his family members were away.
He told police that his yard is fenced in. The gold jewels, which were taken are notably 6 bracelets, 1 bracelet with an initial, 9 rings with an initial, 1 chain commonly called mangulsutre, 1 watch, 2 silver chains, one with a circular pendant set with diamonds, 1 ring and the sum of Rs 10 000 in different denominations.
Four bags of dog food, packets of cookies, cheese and cat food were also stolen. The Criminal Investigation Division (CID) of Terre-Rouge was seized of this case.
