The activist Raouf Khodabaccus was arrested this morning by the CCID in relation to the demonstration that took place in front of the Parliament on Tuesday. It was in support of private radio stations. The debates on the IBA (Amendment) Bill were due to resume that day.
Activist Raouf Khodabaccus was the first to be arrested. One of his relatives went on air as the police were arresting him. Raouf Khodabaccus was taken to Line Barracks for questioning regarding his participation in the demonstration. Rama Valayden was informed later that he had to be questioned with regards to the same demonstration. He is being questioned under warning.
