On the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the Independence of Mauritius, Zeearts organizes a live painting on Saturday, March 11 from 10am to 3pm. 55 artists will have to realize a painting on the theme ‘Moris nou zoli ti zil’.
The inscriptions are certainly closed. But Zaahirat Muthy – the founder of Zee Arts intends to reassure those who could not submit their applications: “Let the artistic community reassure itself. From now on, every year we will invite them to come and paint their island on the occasion of Independence. I have been organizing a similar event through Zee Arts for the past 12 years. And this year, I wanted to export the concept to Mauritius even if I would not be physically on site for the occasion,” explains our compatriot who lives in Dubai.
The theme chosen for this first edition is ‘Moris nou zoli ti zil’: “The selected artists will have to present their work inspired by the Mauritian culture. They will have to use only the 4 colors of the quadricolor. It will also be a moment of exchange for the artists. I invite the public to come and encourage these 55 years old artists and especially to come and admire their talents,” says Zaahirat.
