This Wednesday, shortly after the start of the second part of his interrogation, Chandradeepsing Banee, alias Robert, was arrested. He was brought before the Court for his provisional charge of money laundering before being released on a bail of Rs 50,000. Chandradeepsing Banee, alias Robert, is the director of the company that owns the five Ford Raptors seized by ICAC. The man suspected of being the owner of the Kawasaki Ninja motorbike was questioned and arrested on Wednesday by ICAC. The two-wheeler was seized yesterday as part of the investigation into the alleged network of Jean Hubert Celerine, alias Franklin. Bryan Bowanee denied being the owner of the motorbike in question. However, he was placed under arrest after his interrogation at 4pm. He will be presented before the Port Louis Court tomorrow for his provisional indictment.
Franklin case: Mike Gregory released on bail
Mike Gregory Pattee, another nominee and alleged associate of Franklin, was released on bail on Wednesday. He appeared in the Pamplemousses Court where he was granted bail on a bond of Rs 100,000 and an acknowledgment of Rs 700,000. Mike Gregory Pattee is facing a provisional charge of money laundering. To recall, Mike Gregory Pattee was arrested on 07 March.
