The leaders of L’Espoir platform faced the press this morning. Paul Bérenger addressed the speculations in the wake of the broadcasting of the images of a conversation between Pravind Jugnauth and Navin Ramgoolam. For him, this image has caused a lot of damage, both for Ramgoolam and Jugnauth. He welcomed the fact that various persons from the Labour Party have come forward to clear the air.
If Paul Bérenger believes that the picture of Navin Ramgoolam and Pravind Jugnauth should not give rise to speculations, he added that Pravind Jugnauth was the one “who lost the most credibility in this story”. According to him, since this episode, said Paul Bérenger, “the MSM is trying to correct the missed shot of Pravind Jugnauth”. Paul Bérenger insisted that for the L’Espoir platform, the question of a government of national unity never arose.
The MMM leader called for municipal elections to be held as soon as possible. He indicated that the components of this alliance are in talks and are preparing for municipal elections. He also denounced a “criminal and dangerous plot” involving some people in government against Roshi Bhadain.
