Fitness is taking on new colors in Mauritius. Designed by the New Zealand company Les Mills, Body Attack, Body Combat and Body Balance are classes that help to keep fit and in good spirits.
The Body Training System is a fitness concept designed by the company Les Mills. It includes Body Attack, Body Combat and Body Balance. These different exercises have only one objective: to contribute to your well-being.
In Mauritius, several trained coaches offer sessions to Mauritians. Among them is Ika de la Croix. “You have to know that each discipline is specific. For example, Body Attack is inspired by team sports, Body Combat – by martial arts and Body Balance by yoga and tai chi among others. If the first two play on the cardiovascular system, the body balance will for its part, bring relaxation. Accessible to all physical conditions, I propose 55-minute sessions to my students.
If Ika offers private classes, the coach also invites those interested to join her at the Telfair amphitheater: “Initiative belongs to the Mokamwad Collective. Thus, I offer free sessions of Body Attack and Body Combat respectively on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 17:30 to 18:30. All you have to do is show up to sign up.”
