“Toy Story 5” will launch on June 19, 2026, while “The Mandalorian & Grogu,” a film adaptation of the popular Disney+ series “The Mandalorian,” will open on May 22, 2026. This suggests that Disney is taking the revival of the “Star Wars” film franchise seriously, after having primarily concentrated on streaming series such as “Obi-Wan Kenobi” and “The Book of Boba Fett.”
2019 saw the release of its most significant motion picture, “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker,” which was a box office hit but a critical failure.
