The suspect appeared before the Bail and Remand Court this morning. A provisional charge of sedition was filed against him. Police did not object to his release. Dominique Seedeeal, alias Darren Activist, will however have to pay a bail of Rs 15 000 on Monday in the Rose-Hill court. He will also have to sign an IOU of Rs 100 000. He was released on parole on Saturday.
He is subject to an objection to departure. Dominique Seedeeal must report to the Grand Bay police station twice a day, at 6 am and 6 pm. Dominique Seedeeal is not allowed to speak on any social media, with the exception of Radio Mo Pep. He is also not allowed to participate in any gathering with the permission of the police. In addition, he is subject to a curfew between 9 pm and 5 am the next day.
