“Si ou pa donn deux million, nou pou koup Ishfaq et nou pou enterr li”. This is what an individual demanded from a cow farmer in Latapie, Bon-Accueil on the afternoon of Thursday, March 3, over the phone so that the latter’s older brother would not be a victim of aggression. This farmer went to the police station of Brisée-Verdière the same day to denounce this case of extortion.
The complainant, aged 35, explained that he was at home when he received a call on his cell phone from a mobile number. The caller said, “si ou pa donn deux million, nou pou koup Ishfaq et nou pou enterr li. His brother, Ishfaq, age 47, is a resident of Pailles and is currently on parole. He inserts his presence twice a week at the police station of Brisée-Verdière. While he was communicating with this alleged kidnapper, he heard his brother’s voice shouting, “pa batt mwa” before the caller hung up.
In the early evening of Thursday, March 3, at approximately 6:59 p.m., Ishfaq showed up at the Brisée-Verdière police station to request a form 58 before he was taken to the Dr. Bruno Cheong Hospital by police officers. He told the police that he was assaulted in Pailles by an individual.
The police of Brisée-Verdière intend to refer this case of assault to the Metropolitan Police of the South division so that an investigation is initiated at the level of the police station of Pailles. The police are already concerned that this case may be the result of a personal vendetta.
