In his grand speech, Renganaden Padayachy, the Minister of Finance announced a series of measures for the development and consolidation of the arts sector.

The minister also mentioned the creation of a national center dedicated to local artists. A recording studio is also part of the budget proposals.
The Serge Constantin theater and the amphitheater of Pointe-Canon will be renovated. Ditto for the Château Bénarès and La Citadelle.
Renganaden Padayachi announced the upcoming first edition of the Mauritian Art Expo.
Note that the government intends to purchase more local literary works. These publications will then be made available to the public in national libraries.
