The administrators of Air Mauritius Sattar Hajee Abdoula and Arvind Singh Gokhool, will have to present their rescue plan of the national aviation company to the various creditors.
And according to our information, this plan has been made available to the creditors of Air Mauritius for some time.
This plan, if accepted, should allow Air Mauritius to leave its status of voluntary administration.
The meetings will be carried out by vision phone.
The administrators have grouped the creditors into three categories. First, category A includes those who lease aircraft from the national company, group B includes “hedging counterparties” while the other creditors have been grouped in group C.
The report of the administrators, is therefore eagerly awaited.
A positive response from the creditors means an end to the voluntary administration or place. But the opposite will result in the liquidation of Air Mauritius.
Note that since last month a new structure was born. It is Airports Holding whose presidency is followed very closely
This new company will include Air Mauritius, Atol, Mauritius Duty Free Paradise among others. And will be placed under the responsibility of Ken Arian. The latter will no longer be the Special Advisor, within the Office of the Prime Minister.
We have reached an agreement with the main service provider to reduce these penalties. The removal of the A340, A319 and one A330 from the fleet has resulted in $23.0 million in future maintenance checks and cost savings.
