Air Mauritius has appointed APG as its General Sales Agent (GSA) to handle its marketing in Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Greece, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain.
According to the Mauritian airline based at Port Louis-SSR airport, this partnership represents “a significant opportunity to strengthen its global presence, increase sales in critical markets and generate additional tourism from these markets”. Air Promotion Group (APG) has “the resources and expertise to enhance the international representation, marketing and communication” of Air Mauritius.
APG currently represents Air Mauritius in key markets including the United States, Canada, Italy, Switzerland and Germany. This strategic appointment “will play a key role in facilitating the airline’s expansion efforts, particularly with the introduction of new operations in Europe.”
From October 2023, Air Mauritius will start operating two weekly flights to Geneva while increasing its frequencies to London with a daily flight to Gatwick Airport from October 29, 2023.
Air Mauritius CEO Krešimir Kučko said, “In line with our objective to help Mauritius reach its target of 1.4 million visitors by the end of the year, we see this initiative as an optimal way to increase our sales agent network by collaborating with APG, which we are confident will strengthen Air Mauritius’ sales.”
