A serious accident occurred this Monday evening, October 3, at Réduit on the M1 freeway on the northbound lane. Two vehicles were involved, a car and a van.
The driver was injured and rushed to hospital. Two other passengers, including a small child, were also in the car. They are doing well, according to initial information.
The car ended up with all four wheels in the air in the middle of the road, while the van ended up on its right side, several meters away, stopped by the guardrail on the side of the road.
EMS, firefighters and police were called to the scene of the accident. A traffic jam for a few hours was formed on this part of the highway.
The police have already opened an investigation to determine the cause and exact circumstances of the accident.
