In the space of five days, the Ministry of Agro-Industry’s nursery in Sainte Croix was broken into. The most audacious robbery was committed in this location, which is under the surveillance of a private security company. The loot taken was worth Rs 17,200.
An officer from the Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agro-Industry brought the case to the attention of the police on November 9 and 14 respectively.
In his complaint, he reported that on the morning of November 14, he noticed that the nursery had been broken into. Thieves broke in between 3 p.m. on Monday November 13 and 7.15 a.m. on Tuesday November 14. Seven thirty-centimetre thrinax palm plants, five twenty-five-centimetre Rodrigues palms and a one-inch PVC stop. The value of these stolen items is Rs5,300.
The case has been referred to the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) of the Metropolitan Police, Northern Division.
