A naked man was walking on the roof of a house in Impasse Saint Martin, Roche-Bois on the evening of Tuesday mat 26 when he was surprised by neighbors living in the area. Trying to escape, he fell and injured himself. These neighbors then surrounded him to prevent him from fleeing until he was arrested by the police, who were alerted. The suspect, 24-year-old Terry Sainte Marie from Cité Jonction, Pailles, was apprehended. As he was injured, he was taken to the Dr A G Jeetoo Hospital, Port-Louis, where he was admitted to the ward and placed under police surveillance.
It was around 8.30pm on the evening of Wednesday March 26. A woman in her fifties was watching television with her 60-year-old husband when she heard one of her neighbors shouting in the yard. She and her family went out into the yard to see what was going on. They saw a naked man walking on the roof of their house. He was injured when he tried to save himself from the roof of this house.
Neighbors and relatives surrounded him to prevent him from running away, until the arrival of police officers from the Roche-Bois police station, who were informed of the case.
The suspect, identified as Terry Sainte Marie, was arrested and taken to Dr Jeetoo Hospital, where he was injured. After receiving treatment, he was admitted to the ward. He was placed under police surveillance.
