The acting Police Commissioner gave his first press conference on Thursday. He spoke about several issues, including the Kistnen case. On that particular case, Anil Kumar Dip said that everyone can have his own interpretation of the events but the judicial iinquiry is being conducted independently.
He also said that the police had a duty to provide answers. “I told my officers that they should not withhold information. This is a procedure to establish the truth. We too want to know what happened,” he said. Dip added that the police will fully cooperate and that he is ensuring that all the information requested is provided.
The Acting Commissioner of Police also revealed that there are more arrests to come in the Telegram Case and that DCP Heman Jangi, and him are following closely the child pornography case in Rodrigues. “No one will be spared,” he said.
