The fifth day of the Champions League was rich! Big satisfaction for the French clubs with the beautiful victory of Lille against Salzburg which allows the Dogues to believe in the qualification for the eighth finals while Paris, although defeated against City, also passes. The English are still in a strong position. Among other important results, Chelsea, Manchester United, Real and Inter have qualified.
Here are the 11 teams already qualified:

Paris SG (guaranteed to finish 2nd)
Liverpool (guaranteed to finish 1st)
Ajax Amsterdam (guaranteed to finish first)
Sporting CP (guaranteed to finish 2nd)

Real qualified
After a complicated start to the campaign, Real Madrid qualified for the round of 16 without any problems. This Wednesday, the Merengue, beaten in the first leg (1-2), took their revenge against Sheriff Tiraspol (3-0) thanks to Alaba on a free kick (30th), Kroos (45th+1) and Benzema (55th). The final for the first place will be played directly against Inter Milan, also qualified and 2 points behind.
Sporting eliminates Dortmund!
Surprise in group C. Behind the untouchable Ajax Amsterdam, it is Sporting who gets the second ticket for the 8th round. The Portuguese deserved this qualification after their big success against Borussia Dortmund (3-0). With 3 points behind and a particular unfavorable goal difference, Erling Håland’s team will be relegated to the Europa League.
PSG beaten but qualified
Paris Saint-Germain will play in the last 8 after being dominated by Manchester City (2-1). The Parisians can thank RB Leipzig and its double striker Christopher Nkunku, who outclassed Brugge (0-5)! The Germans, tied on points with their opponent of the day, will face City for a place in the Europa League.
Chelsea, revenge and qualification
After their 1-0 defeat in the first leg, the defending champions took their revenge by outclassing Juventus Turin (4-0), already qualified, to validate their ticket to the last eight. The Blues got off to a good start with a goal from former Lorient player Chalobah from a corner (25th), and then James (55th), who was becoming increasingly interesting, and Hudson-Odoi, who scored a superb goal (58th), followed by Werner (90th+5). A demonstration of strength!
Ronaldo qualifies MU
The Red Devils were badly beaten by Villarreal for a long time and were saved by De Gea’s saves which kept them afloat. They won (2-0) for the first time under the interim coach Michael Carrick. A success once again obtained late and which still bears the mark of Cristiano Ronaldo, author of the opening goal (78th) and at the origin of the goal of Sancho (90th). MU will see the 8th finals.
