The Family Protection Brigade of the Southern Division has been assigned to investigate a case of indecent assault on a 12-year-old girl on two occasions this year. The perpetrator of this crime is none other than the partner of the victim’s mother. A complaint to this effect was filed at the Chemin Grenier police station.
It is through the intermediary of a policewoman of the brigade for the protection of the family that this statement was made around 14:20 on Thursday, December 01. The girl, a schoolgirl in grade 6 and living in the village of Rivière des Anguilles, in the presence of her sister-in-law, recounted how in March of this year, the companion of her mother, who lives in the area of Chemin Grenier, tried to cling to her body while she was traveling in his van.
On Saturday, September 10, the man did it again. She was at his home in Chemin Grenier changing her clothes in a bedroom when he came up behind her. He hugged her tightly before fondling her body and tried to kiss her on her lips.
