Following a meeting with Minister Callichurn: “I have to consult my lawyers before informing the Ministry if I want my case to be referred to the Employment Relations Tribunal”, maintains Yogita Babboo-Rama.
The meeting between the Air Mauritius Cabin Crew Association president and the Minister of Work and Industrial Relations occurred yesterday afternoon. Afterwards, Yogita Babboo-Rama told the press that the Ministry of Labour had already drawn up its report. However, the document can only be used as part of a legal appeal.
According to Yogita Babboo-Rama, the Ministry has argued that it can refer her case to the Employment Relations Tribunal.However, she will consult her lawyer before giving a final answer.
The Ministry of Labour says it is awaiting the unionist’s response. She has until tomorrow to indicate whether she intends to go before the Employment Relations Tribunal.
