Two men, aged 23 and 25 respectively, who work in a hotel on the north coast, are wanted on suspicion of indecently assaulting a female colleague. The two men committed the offence on the evening of Sunday 23 July in the hotel’s bakery. The victim, a 22-year-old assistant cook from the Sainte Croix area, reported the incident to the police early in the evening of Tuesday 25 July.
The victim gave a statement of indecent assault at the Pointe aux Canonniers police station. In great detail, she recounted the circumstances of the incident, which occurred at around 10.10pm on Sunday 23 July. That day, she was working in the bakery when one of her colleagues, aged 23 and living in Morcellement Saint André, arrived. He asked her about another colleague who lived in Cottage.
As soon as the young woman replied, he made inappropriate comments. He then dragged her into the chocolate factory. At the same time, the Cottage resident arrived. They both placed her on a table before starting to grope her clothes without her consent. At one point, the young woman says, the resident of Morcellement Saint André placed his hand in her underwear.
The Cottage resident then grabbed her by the hair and pulled her head close to his body. She says she resisted firmly and they let her go. She named as a witness a 20-year-old resident of Triolet who was present at the time.
