A policewoman from the family protection brigade registered a complaint of sexual relations with a minor under 16 years old for a 14-year-old girl. The girl, who is 3 months pregnant, told her mother how she became pregnant after a party in Cité La Cure. However, she did not want to be examined by a forensic doctor.
This statement was taken at the Abercrombie Police Station, St. Croix, on the afternoon of Friday, October 14. The teenager, who is attending an apprenticeship school, explained in great detail how she had met a young man, whose pseudonym she only knows, during a party in June of this year in Cité La Cure. On the same day, with her consent, they went to an abandoned lot, the exact location of which she does not know, and they had sexual relations.
The teenager refused to be examined by a medical examiner or to go to the place where the crime allegedly occurred or to participate in a lineup. The Child Development Unit of the Ministry of Gender Equality was also involved in the case.
