A complaint for “causing, inciting or allowing child to be sexually abused” was made by a policewoman of the brigade for the protection of the family for a 17 years old girl. The girl, who lives in Roche-Bois, reported, in the presence of her mother, that she had sex on two occasions on the public beach of Baie du Tombeau with a 15-year-old boy. After finding herself pregnant on Saturday, September 17, she lost her baby after a C-section.
It was in the afternoon of Monday, October 10 that this statement was recorded. The teenager explained that she met the 15-year-old on Facebook in January 2020. The teen, who lives in the coastal village of Baie du Tombeau, had taken her to the public beach of Baie du Tombeau in July 2021 where they had sex. In March of this year, they went to the same place to have sex. She subsequently became pregnant.
Due to health complications, she had to undergo a cesarean section after six months of pregnancy at the Dr. A.G. Jeetoo Hospital in Port Louis on September 17 and lost her baby. The teenager declined to be examined by a medical examiner.
