The symbolic and peaceful demonstration for the Palestinian cause took place yesterday, in the streets of capital. The initiative was taken by Muslim Awakening Mauritius, whose leader is Junaid-Al-Khalifa. Deputy Prime Minister Dr Anwar Husnoo, MP Dr Farhad Aumeer and lawyer Al Assad Peeroo and his Palestinian wife were present at this peaceful rally in Port-Louis.
“Stop genocide now”, read a placard held by a child at a march in support of the Palestinian people organized by the Mauritius Muslim Awakening, one of whose leaders is Juneid Al Khalifa.
This was the second march to denounce the “atrocities” committed against the Palestinian people following the war between Israel and Hamas, following the one organized in Plaine-Verte the previous Friday.
