Kris Gunnoo is currently working on The dragon artist. Inspired by her own experience, this ballet and modern dance show will be presented on 4 and 5 August at the Caudan Art Centre – Port-Louis.

Choreographer and director of the Elite Dance Company Ltd dance school, Kris is just 22 years old. But this young resident of Quatre-Bornes has his head full of projects. The dragon artist is just one of them: “The idea for this show had been in my head for four years. I’ve been putting it together bit by bit, and I’m delighted to see it come to life with some thirty other artists.
In the show, Kris tells the story of his life: “I didn’t have the support I needed to blossom. However, I didn’t feel sorry for myself and I did everything I could to get by. So I didn’t turn the page, I changed the book altogether. For me, this show is synonymous with a new beginning that I’m sharing with the audience.
As a reminder, the show will be performed on 4 and 5 August at 7.30pm. Tickets are on sale at Rs 600 (normal), Rs 800 (premiere) and Rs 1000 (VIP).
