Sherry Singh has been released on bail this Wednesday. He was summoned yesterday morning to the quarters of the Special Striking Team to give a statement. Allegations were leveled against him for having given instructions to someone to steal rocks belonging to Mauritius Telecom.
The former Chief Executive Officer of Mauritius Telecom was placed under arrest and subsequently released on parole. Sherry Singh appeared in Port Louis Court this Wednesday. A provisional charge og giving instructions to create a misdemeanor was lodged against him.
Sherry Singh was released on a bail of Rs 40,000 and a debt recognizance of Rs 100,000. His next court appearance is scheduled for February 29.
