On Saturday 11 September 2021, it will be twenty years since two airliners crashed into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in the heart of New York. These attacks, sponsored by Al Qaeda, killed 2,977 people. The incredible images of these attacks were shown around the world. Through these two symbolic buildings, America was attacked in its heart.
The attack on the two towers of the World Trade Center twenty years ago in New York ushered the world into a new era. Do you remember what you were doing on Tuesday 11 September 2001?

Joe Biden, the American president, has asked the justice system to declassify documents from the investigation into the September 11 attacks within the next six months. The subject is sensitive as the United States prepares to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center towers and the World Trade Centre.

The order calls on US Attorney General Merrick Garland to release the declassified documents over the next six months.
Relatives of the victims of the attacks asked a US government watchdog on Thursday to investigate their suspicions that the FBI lied or destroyed evidence linking Saudi Arabia to the hijackers.
