The report of the technical committee to the Ministry of Education submitted on Tuesday 25 January is under consideration. There is no major communication on the important aspects of this report. However, one major concern is being considered. The Education Minister, Leela Devi Dookun Luchoomun is considering whether the international School Certificate and Higher School Certificate examinations scheduled for 11 April can be postponed until November. Discussions with Cambridge are around whether to keep or postpone. The ministry will have to communicate the results of this negotiation before the start of the school year on 2 February. Other issues of concern in the report should be communicated as well, such as the revision of the school calendar, curriculum coverage and assessment modalities, and suggestions for improving the school system.
