A reception to celebrate the 93rd National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, was held, on Monday, by the Royal Consulate-General of Saudi Arabia in Mauritius, at the Hennessy Park Hotel, in Ebène. A cake-cutting ceremony was also held to mark the celebrations.
The Acting President of the Republic of Mauritius, Mr Marie Cyril Eddy Boissézon; the Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Mauritius, Mr Louis Steven Obeegadoo; the Vice-Prime Minister, Minister of Education, Tertiary Education, Science and Technology, Mrs Leela Devi Dookun-Luchoomun; the Vice-Prime Minister, Minister of Local Government, Disaster and Risk Management, Dr Mohammad Anwar Husnoo; the Minister of Social Integration, Social Security and National Solidarity, Mrs Fazila Jeewa-Daureeawoo; the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade, Mr Avinash Teeluck; the Minister of Technology, Communication and Innovation Mr Darsanand Balgobin and; several other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
Members of the Royal Consulate General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Mauritius; Members of the Diplomatic Corps and other eminent personalities also participated in the celebrations.
The Saudi National Day, which is celebrated on 23 September each year, is an occasion deeply entrenched in the heart and history of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia when nationals and expatriates celebrate the transformative journey the country has embarked on over the past 93 years.
As the nation prepares to commemorate its 93rd National Day in 2023 under the slogan “We Dream and We Achieve,” the Kingdom marks its rich history, its milestones and accomplishments over the past nine decades, and the visionaries that have made the present-day a reality.
