Proceedings On The Mandamus Order In The Eco Deer Park Association’s Case Adjourned To 13 November

Must Read

This morning in the Supreme Court, Senior Puisne Judge Nirmala Devat adjourned the proceedings on the Mandamus order to November 13.  The defense objects to this request and maintains that Pandit Vivek Pursun has no interest in the case to act.

It should be noted that Vivek Pursun had initiated this application to press Icac to provide documents relating to the granting of the lease to the Eco Deer Park Association. He is also seeking to have Minister Maneesh Gobin questioned “under caution” by ICAC and the police as part of the investigation into allegations of bribery surrounding the granting of this lease in the Grand-Bassin region.

Before Senior Puisne Judge Nirmala Devat, Me Ayesha Jeewa, the solicitor for Rajesh Ramnarain, ex-chairman of the Sugar Investment Trust, asked for more time to file her objections to this request.
