According to a royal analyst, Kate Middleton has played an “influential” role in ending the “bitterness and bad blood” that existed between Prince Harry and Prince William, her husband. The Duke of Sussex’s battle with his brother has only gotten worse since Harry and his wife Meghan Markle left the royal family. Nonetheless, it appears that their disagreement is narrowing as the royal family publicly wished Harry a happy birthday in recent days. In a different message, William and Kate also wished him well.
According to royal analyst Jennie Bond, the Princess of Wales is largely responsible for the transformation. For the first time in many years, the royal family granted Harry a request in public.
“Landmark birthdays can often be a time for taking a look at your life and assessing how you’re doing. But on this occasion it seems to be William who has been doing some re-evaluation. My gut feeling is that Catherine has been influential in this slight softening of her husband‘s implacable stand against Harry, ” Bond told OK! Magazine.
According to Bond, it’s possible that during her cancer battle, Kate values her family more than she has in the past. She recently disclosed in a video that her chemotherapy treatment is now over.
Kate has “persuaded William that life is too short to bear grudges,” according to Bond. Bond remarked, “I don’t think William has room in his heart or head to deal with all that has gone on with Harry. He has so much on his plate right now.”
“But first steps do matter. And though the brothers may never be close again, or even live on the same continent, it doesn’t mean that the future has to be full of bitterness and bad blood,” he added.
