A police operation carried out by elements of Savanne’s Anti-Drug and Smuggling Unit (Adsu) on Friday October 20 on an abandoned plot of land in Plaine Champagne led to the discovery of three hundred and sixty-five cannabis plants. The plants have a street value of Rs 1,825,000.
Following information obtained concerning the cultivation of these cannabis plants on this abandoned plot of land, an Adsu operation was set up. This team from the Savanne division was subsequently to carry out a sweep of the site. The plants discovered were uprooted before being transported to Adsu headquarters at Casernes Centrales.
