The Mauritian Jérémie Lararaudeuse could not pass the series of the 110 m hurdles. Engaged in the third series our compatriot took the 7th place with a time of 14s03. This is his personal best time. Encouraging performance for the 20 year old athlete even if he did not reach his goal of beating the national record of Mauritius, still held by Judex Lefou in 13s91.
The series was won by the American Grant Holloway in 13s02. The latter is one of the favorites for the Olympic title.
He is ahead of the Jamaican Hans le Parchment (13s23), the Australian Nicolas Hough (13s57) and the Pole Damien Czykier (13s61).
Jeremie Lararaudeuse was the last Mauritian still in the running at these Olympic Games.
