Philippe Hao Thyn Voon, President of the COM, joined the Mauritian delegation which will be in competition for the Olympic Games of Tokyo beginning in a few hours.
The two Mauritian boxers Merven Clair and Richarno Colin have landed earlier in the Japanese capital for these games.

The organizers also underlined that the quasi-totality of the tests of the Games will take place behind closed doors and the tens of thousands of participants – of the sportsmen to the officials, while passing by the journalists coming from abroad – are subjected to draconian restrictions because of the sanitary risks.
