Another 5 for O Re Piya. And for this new Bollywood-influenced show, Ashish Beesoondial, the play’s author, tells us more: “You have to realise that it’s a new story and a new plot. It’s still about thwarted love, but this time we wanted to change the concept. And we’re inviting the public to come and discover it on the 3rd and 4th at 7.30pm and on the 5th from 6pm. Tickets are currently on sale at Rs 500 and Rs 700 until 15 September. After that, they will cost Rs 100 more. ”
Commenting on the success of the show, Ashish says: “I am of the opinion that it is the heterogeneity that contributes to the success of the play every year. There are the actors, the dancers, the costumes. The audience really seems to enjoy the whole show for what it exudes.”
