A van was chased on the morning of Sunday, July 24, after the driver failed to comply with a traffic stop on White Mountain Royal Road. The vehicle was chased by police officers from the Montagne-Blanche police station. The vehicle was driven towards St. Joseph before being abandoned by the driver. The driver had to run away in a cane field. The police were able to identify him as Jean Yves Yorame Duljeet, a notorious recidivist from Montagne-Blanche. After verification, it turned out that this white Toyota Lite Ace van had been stolen on the evening of Thursday, July 21 in Vallée Pitôt.
It is to the detriment of the owner of a bakery where Yves Duljeet works, that this van was stolen. It is while viewing the images of the surveillance cameras of a neighbor that the owner saw Yoram at the wheel of his vehicle to take the direction of the street Mamelon Vert before turning on Boulevard Victoria in Vallée-Pitôt. The key to his vehicle was in his bakery while he was having dinner at his home. The value of the van is Rs 90,000, while the six containers of diesel, boxes of butter and packets of salt that were on board, are worth Rs 10,000.
Since then, Yves Duljeet is actively sought by police officers of the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) of the Metropolitan Police of the Northern Division.
