The three leaders of the opposition parties, namely Navin Ramgoolam, Paul Bérenger and Xavier-Luc Duval, met for more than an hour at the home of the leader of the Labour Party (Ptr) on Friday. Navin Ramgoolam was the only one to speak to the press.
The main concern of the three parties remains the organization of the elections. “We had a long and very positive meeting to talk essentially about the risks of electoral fraud. According to him, the elections “are not far away”, adding that the leaders of the opposition parties will meet after the year, they will request a meeting with the Electoral Commissioner to explain their thoughts.
The leader of the Ptr has also reconfirmed that if the municipal elections are held, the Ptr and the Entente de l’Espoir will go together to the elections. “Navin Ramgoolam is planning to meet with the representatives of Resistans ek Alternativ on Tuesday.
