With Labor Day just three days away, the leaders of the Parti Travailliste-Mouvement Militant Mauricien-Nouvelles Démocrates (PTr-MMM-ND) alliance met the press yesterday at the Labourdonnais Waterfront Hotel in Port-Louis. On this occasion, PTr leader Navin Ramgoolam declared that twenty key measures of the PTr-MMM-ND Alliance’s electoral program would be unveiled on May 1st at a meeting to be held next Wednesday in front of the Port-Louis Municipality.
Inviting Mauritians to rally behind this alliance to save the country, Navin Ramgoolam strongly denounced the current government’s political maneuvers to make false accusations against him.
The leader said: “I am the man to bring down, and the MSM will use any means to discredit me. Fortunately, it won’t work”.
For his part, MMM leader Paul Bérenger called on the population to turn out in large numbers in the capital next Wednesday, because, he said, we have a rendezvous with history.
For his part, Richard Duval of the ND said that the threats made by Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth against Véronique Leu-Govind, who, he said, was a mother, were unacceptable. Maintaining that it is denigrating, the former rookie wonders how women in the current regime are reacting.
