Navin Ramgoolam departure to India had been delayed for one reason or the other and now for his return to the country, everything has been brought forward. A change of plans that is playing havoc with the PTR’s preparations to welcome their leader at the airport.
He will now board the flight on Saturday afternoon. “He was initially supposed to return on Sunday morning on 10th October via an Air Mauritius flight but his flight has been postponed. He will now return at 12.10 am, that is in the early hours of Sunday morning. The PTr has been caught off guard and will not be able to proceed with its already planned welcoming committee. Dr. Navin Ramgoolam is scheduled to leave the SSRIA airport at about 1 am.” The secretary of PTr is lamenting over these last minute changes before stating that ”the most important thing is that he is cured.”
Dr Ramgoolam will return directly to his home in Riverwalk, Vacoas and will immediately self-isolate, as requested by his doctors, Dr. Randeep Guleria and Dr. Neeraj Nischal. He will not be available until weeks and will gradually resume his activities prudently. This Sunday, 10th October will mark the return of the labour leader!
Meeting with the India Minister of Foreign Affairs
“Value his strong support for our exceptional relationship” could be seen on Dr Ramgoolam’s twitter account after a 45-minute meeting with Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, the Indian Foreign Minister. On the same day, Dr Navin Ramgoolam, accompanied by Dhaneshwar Damry, paid a tribute to the samadhi of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the former Prime Minister who passed away in 2018 and a second tribute to the samadhi of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the Indian nation.
