Our compatriot Quincy Lactive made history on October 8. And with good reason: at 32, this resident of Bambous is the first Mauritian to make it into the Top 25 at the 46ᵉ edition of the Mrs Universe 2023 pageant, held in the Philippines. She also took home the title of Mrs Smile at the said contest.

She’s still on cloud nine. Quincy still can’t believe she came home with a crown and the pride of having been in the Top 25 of this beauty contest, which had 91 participants: “I’m delighted to have been able to represent Mauritius with honors. In this contest, the jury put a lot of emphasis on the naturalness of the candidates. And that worked in my favor. I’m delighted to have won the Mrs Smile title and to have made it into the Top 25, which is a first for Mauritius in this competition,” explains the hairdresser.
The mother-of-one now wants to share her experience with future participants: “I was lucky enough to be well supported by the organizing committee and my coach Shameer Abdul Raman. It’s important now that I share my experience with future contestants to help them do better.”
Mrs Mauritius World & Univers, under the direction of Prakash Ramdhun, is organizing the competition in Mauritius. The organizing committee is assisted by Lady Bacha’s association La porte du bonheur.
As a reminder, Quincy Lactive was elected Mrs Top Model on December 17, 2022 at the local Mrs Mauritius World 2022-23 contest.
This 46th edition of Mrs Universe 2023 was won by Meranie Pabular Gadiana Rahman – Mrs Hawaii USA.
