The widow of Soopramanien Kistnen was taken to Line Barracks after a search of her home in Montagne-Ory yesterday afternoon. Her lawyers, Rama Valayden, Sanjeev Teeluckdharry and Anoop Goodary, are expected at the Central CID to assist her in this investigation.
According to reports, a formal charge of “false and malicious declaration in writing” was filed with the Moka police station on January 30, 2021, by Madame Simla Kistnen, the widow of Soopramanien Kistnen, a former MSM officer. On social media, videos of Mrs. Kistnen were making the rounds. She brought a complaint alleging ICTA violations. On Tuesday, March 5, when they were leaving police headquarters, her law enforcement officers stated as much in front of the Central Barracks.
The solicitors were disappointed that “none of the protagonists named in the complaint had been approached or questioned in this case, while Ms Kistnen would become the defendant in her own complaint”. The solicitors said that they had requested that the case be forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecutions by the investigators. Mrs Kistnen was permitted to leave Central Barracks with her solicitors by her side.
