Two individuals are being actively sought by the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) of the Metropolitan Police, Northern Division, in connection with the theft of a Kawasaki motorbike. The green motorcycle, worth Rs 300,000, was stolen from a 23-year-old car washer who lives on rue Macadam, Baie du Tombeau.
The owner went to his local police station on the morning of Tuesday 1 August to report the theft. In his statement, he explained that the theft had been committed during his absence between 11pm on Friday 28 July and 11pm on Monday 31 July. His motorbike was locked and parked in his garage. When he looked at the CCTV footage from a shop on rue Macadam, he saw an individual wearing grey clothing pushing his two-wheeled machine at 5.40am on Saturday 29 July.
CID investigators who viewed the Safe City camera footage at 2am on Wednesday 2 August saw two individuals pushing the stolen motorbike on rue Macadam via rue Hirondelle towards route Royale, Baie du Tombeau near Tote Lepep. The two unidentified men are being actively sought.
