The annual fundraiser for the Anna Wintour Center at the Metropolitan Museum of Art (Met) took place this Monday. This year, guests had to bow to the theme “In America: A Fashion Anthology.”
Every year, the Metropolitan Museum of Art gala is held in New York. The charitable initiative organized for the benefit of the Anna Wintour Costume Center, always proposes a theme to inspire the looks. This year, it is a sort of second part to the 2021 theme which was “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion” with a sub-category being American Independence.
For 2022, the theme is more like “In America: An Anthology of Fashion” and the more precise angle is “Gilded Glamour” or “Glam doré”. Don’t be fooled, it’s not just about golden outfits!
