Remus is expected to make it four in a row and remain unbeaten in Mauritius this afternoon at the Champ-de-mars racecourse. He is the big favourite of the day at Rs 160 for a bet of Rs 100. Two outsiders have been backed in the second race with Senor Don from (2400 to 1200) and Tripod from (3000 to 1200).
Bold Phoenix won easily from pillar to post last time. He will, on paper, face no opposition to take the lead in race 5. Punters seemed to be confident that Bold Phoenix will win again as his odds remained at Rs 200. But, better be cautious as big money has been bet on his stable companion Carlas Mambo (from 550 to 450) and Roman Dancer (from 650 to 550).
Race 2 will be very interesting with the odds of : Gontravelin from (520 to 450) , and outsiders, Seventh Rule (from 1600 to 1200) and The Gypsy King from 3500 to 2500 going up. Last time winner Betathantherest from 350 to 350 is the favourite.
Gunston from 330 to 380 is the only horse that has been backed in the main race. He might make it three in a row.
Odds fluctuations from Thursday 5 pm to Saturday 8 am.
